Design Inspiration

Inspired by the intersections of starlight and deep-sea mystery, this vase series captures the sensation of light being refracted through crystalline matter — as if the cosmos itself had taken a physical form. Each vase features meticulously carved geometric facets resembling a crystalline honeycomb, while the glowing amber orbs inside shimmer like stars beneath a midnight ocean.

From every angle, light refracts and dances across the surfaces, giving the piece a dynamic, dimensional presence. The vases seamlessly blend function with artistic depth, acting as both vessels and visual focal points.

Story Behind the Creation

While traveling through Iceland, the artist witnessed a breathtaking scene — the northern lights reflecting off glacial ice and ocean waves. That fusion of celestial light and earthly texture became the inspiration for this work. Through precise layering, hot-glass fusion, and cold finishing, he recreated the sensation of stars submerged beneath the sea.
