MURRANA / HOW TO CHOOSE

Begin with the space.
Follow what moves you.

A practical guide to choosing sculptural glass — from the first impression to the place it will call home.

01 / THE SETTING

Choose the place first.

Picture the work in a specific spot: the console you pass each morning, a shelf beside your favorite chair, or a table seen from across the room. The setting will help you decide what kind of presence feels right.

Look from where you live

View the surface from a doorway and from your usual seated position. Notice the background, nearby objects and the direction of light. A clear outline is easier to appreciate against a quiet backdrop.

Make it a secure setting

Choose a level, stable surface that can support the work. Keep the base fully supported, with room away from edges and busy walkways. Avoid places where children, pets or frequently moved objects could knock it over.

02 / SCALE & FORM

Measure the space.
Imagine the outline.

Check the height, width, depth and weight of the exact product or variation. Mark its footprint with a sheet of paper and use a simple cardboard outline to visualize its height. Include room above it for lifting and cleaning.

03 / COLOR & LIGHT

Find your color relationship.

Choose a color that echoes something you already love, or let one work introduce a deliberate contrast. Look at the product against the tones of your wall, furniture and textiles.

Cool & luminous

Pale aqua can introduce a cooler note beside warm stone or timber. Clear facets draw attention to light and the surrounding colors.

Warm & expressive

Golden yellow adds a vivid focal point to pale rooms and natural materials. Consider whether its glow complements the other warm tones nearby.

Radiance of Amethyst purple faceted sculpture on pale stone

Deep & grounded

Amethyst purple can bring depth and a distinct color accent to a neutral setting. A simple background lets subtle variations remain visible.

Color and reflections change with lighting, surroundings and screen settings. Prefer gentle indirect daylight for display; keep glass away from intense direct sun and heat sources. Scene images illustrate styling and are not scale references.

04 / THE COLLECTIONS

Follow the form that speaks to you.

05 / CHOOSING A GIFT

Give a personal connection.

Think about the recipient’s favorite colors, the character of their home and an occasion you share. A form or color with a simple personal meaning can be a thoughtful starting point.

If you do not know the available space, check dimensions carefully and ask about the specific work. Review delivery information for time-sensitive occasions and read the return terms, especially when considering a custom order.
