Design Inspiration

This bowl draws its inspiration from the natural beauty of frozen lakes in winter. The artist sought to capture the moment when ice fractures into crystalline edges, blending these textures with gentle wave-like ridges.

Entirely transparent, the piece allows light to travel through and dance across its raised surfaces — creating a glacial glow reminiscent of winter sun over ice.

Story Behind the Creation

During a trip to Scandinavia, the designer was mesmerized by sunlight refracting through thin layers of cracked lake ice. That fleeting moment of silence and shimmering geometry became the seed of this design.

Glass, with its clarity and fragility, became the perfect medium to preserve the sensation of winter’s stillness and radiant clarity.
