Design Inspiration

This sculptural duo draws inspiration from nature’s interplay of hardness and fluidity — the teardrop and the stone. Each piece features a brilliantly colored glass droplet suspended within a rough, rock-like frame, symbolizing the power that forms in silence, the tension between inner energy and outer barriers.

Story Behind the Creation

During a volcanic field expedition, the artist witnessed fresh spring water dripping from within fractured rock. Moved by the contrast between rigid stone and flowing water, he envisioned this work as a meditation on emergence, containment, and inner strength. “Awakening Drop” was born to capture this poetic tension through the medium of glass and sculpture.
